I wrote this post in case a company or service has a question about the email address registered. For example, some time ago, a car rental company called me once and asked me why their company name is before the @ symbol.

The email at privachie.nl is not spam or fake. Because I'm using privachie.nl as my personal email alias at SimpleLogin by Proton, for extra privacy.
It is wise to have separate email addresses for each online account or service you use.
The best part? I have no worries if I start receiving spam or phishing emails to a specific alias. I can simply disable it and create a new one. If I see many unwanted messages on an alias linked to a particular company, it's like a little red flag that they might have shared my information without asking or that their database has been hacked.
Just so you know, “Privachie” is 100% intentional; no typos here. The domain name is a fun mix of “privacy” and my name “Yee Chie”, so I came up with PrivaChie. Cool, right?
